The 30,000, 60,000 and 90,000 mile services add more than oil.
Oil disappearing between changes deserves a look.
A schedule prompt worth acting on.
Coolant, wipers and belts matter more in the cold.
The schedule in your owner manual decides what is due at your mileage. We follow it, and we tell you if your driving puts you on the severe-service schedule, which most mountain driving does: steep grades, towing, dirt roads and short cold trips all count.
Because the walk-around happens every visit, a worn brake pad, a weeping hose or a cracked belt gets spotted while you are already here, rather than on the side of the road.
At the end of each visit you get a record of what was done and at what mileage, plus a note of what is coming due next, so you can plan ahead instead of being caught out.
The mileage decides most of it. A standard oil service is small; the larger milestones add filters, fluids and spark plugs. Engines that need synthetic oil, bigger diesel oil capacities and the severe-service schedule add to the total, and each item is listed separately so you can see where the money goes.
Give us the current mileage and, if you have them, the dates of the last few services. Records stop work being repeated and show exactly what is due.
If a warning or reminder light is showing on the dash, tell us which one; some vehicles track several service items separately.
No. Following the manufacturer schedule with parts that meet its specifications keeps the warranty intact. Keep the invoices.
Start with your manual, then lean toward the severe schedule if you tow, climb a lot or make short cold trips.
Whatever your engine specifies. Many newer engines require synthetic.
A baseline service is a good idea. It brings fluids and filters to a known starting point, and the walk-around shows anything else that needs attention.
Tell us the mileage and we will book the right service and the free walk-around together.
